I have a couple of posts planned out. Like about the new decor in our bedroom and our trip to Tahoe this last weekend. They require pictures as accompaniment though, and since I am a horrible employee and mostly blog at work and do not currently have my pictures with me these wonderful posts will have to wait. But, they will be fabulous and interesting......I promise. Maybe.
In the meantime, I stole this littel gem of a "fill in the answers about me" off of someone else's blog. Ya know, gotta keep the entries rolling somehow. And since I'm not an awesome enough blogger to actually have a fellow blogger tag me into doing the following, I am tagging myself. Because I am cool (lame) like that.
4 Things I did 10 Years Ago (2000)
1. I turned 15 and got my learners permit to drive.
2. I started 10th grade, which meant I went into high school. It was alright. Junior year was WAY better though.
3. I'm pretty sure I had a fan-freakingtastic summer that year. It was so good, in fact, that I can't remember a single thing about it. I digress. My summers are always pretty super though, so it's worth a mention.
4. I "dated" the same guy for the third time. I use the term "dated" loosely. The first time was in kindergarton and we just had a crush on each other. The second time was in 7th grade when you think holding hands and slow dancing at the winter formal constitutes "dating" someone. The third time was totally more mature though. I think we actually kissed on the lips. Maybe. Once.
4 Things I did 5 Years Ago (2005)
1. Changed my college major from nursing to accounting. What. a. moron. Now, I have an AS in Accounting degree and am finishing pre-reqs for nursing school. I will more than likely be a student until I am 30. That's alright. I will be a nurse and I will make good money and I will love my job. I learned to go with my gut. Always. I had wanted to be a nurse since I was 11. I let some dumb anatomy professor change my mind. Never again.
2. Matt and I went on our third and final break. The breaks totally sucked a big one, but now I'm glad we had them. They made us both realize there was no one else out there and we were it for each other.
3. Met James and Tiffany and Skylar Allen (Emmy was still just a twinkle). We were not close right away, but have become good friends over the years. I love them all. Except Emmy when she hasn't had a nap. That just sucks. JUST KIDDING, I still love her then too. Only because copious amounts of cookies will make her happy anytime, anywhere.
4. Began to drink too much beer. And now, 5 years later am trying to take my body back to pre-beer shape : )
4 Things I did Yesterday
1. Rode home from Tahoe .
2. Cleaned the house.
3. Grocery shopped.
4. Watched my DVRed shows for like three hours.
(Geez, no wonder I'm not interesting enough to have blog followers!)
4 Shows I love to watch
Um, yeah. I'm a total TV addict. Narrowing it down to four choices was all but impossible. Do not judge me.
1. Grey's Anatomy. Just like every other red-blooded American girl in her twenties! Seriously though, I love it. I know the drama can be too intense for some, and I will give them a free pass. Pansies.
2. Gilmore Girls. Yes, this show has not been on air with new episodes since 2007. I don't care. It is one of the greatest television achievements of all time and I wish I was somehow related to the Gilmores and lived in a little town called Stars Hollow and had a boyfriend named Logan Huntzberger.
3. Cooking shows. Yes, I know that I am 24. BUT, I have made some really great new dinners thanks to Paula Deen, Clare Robinson, Sunny Anderson, and Sandra Lee. There are times when I can stand Rachael Ray, and her food is pretty good too. Giada De Laurentiis is super annoying and can suck it. She needs to learn how to say the names of cheeses like a normal person. Maybe then I will watch her. But probably not.
4. America's Funniest Home Videos and COPS (I told ya I couldn't just do four!). Really, I feel these two shows count as one because I don't like to watch them alone. They are a guilty pleasure that Matt and I enjoy together because it is way funnier to watch guys getting their nards smashed after flipping off a trampoline and crack addicts deny that they just stole a car with company as opposed to by yourself.
4 things I love to do
1. Anything to do with water. Swimming....check. LOVE to be near a pool as often as possible. Hot tubs....check. So nice and relaxing in the evenings. The ocean....check. LOVE the beach. Lakes and rivers.....check. They're probably my favorite because they involve the boat as well. Add alcohol to any of these and it becomes even better. Yes, I am a lush. Deal with it.
2. Sit in the back yard with my husband and our dogs on a summer evening with a beer (told ya I was a lush!). This is when 90% of our deep, world solving conversations happen and I love that.
3. Shop and eat with my Mom on a Saturday morning. This happens a minimum of once per month. We don't always spend money on fun things, sometimes it's just a Costco trip for groceries or dog food. It's more about the time together than anything else. Love my Mom.
4. Girl nights. Not that I don't love time with my husband and our guy friends, I do. It's just fun to have an evening with the girls to talk about girlie stuff and not get shit for it.
Now, wasn't that fun?
